Role Purpose We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Analyst to join our dynamic team at the London Stock Exchange. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in driving the development and enhancement of our digital products. Working closely with stakeholders, technology teams, and end-users, you will analyse business processes, gather requirements, and translate them into innovative solutions that meet the needs of our clients and optimize our digital offerings. Main Responsibilities Requirement Gathering and Analysis: • Conduct comprehensive analysis of existing business processes, systems, and workflows to identify areas for improvement. Using various techniques, such as interviews, workshops, and document analysis, to gather and validate requirements effectively. • Collaborate with stakeholders, including product managers, developers, and end-users, to clearly define and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that align with project objectives. • Work closely with the development team to ensure requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications. Solution Design and Documentation: • Develop functional specifications, process flow diagrams, wireframes, and other relevant documentation to articulate the proposed solutions. While defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success of implemented solutions. • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to develop user-friendly interfaces that enhance user experience and drive user adoption. Addressing risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: • Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including business users, technology teams, and senior management. While conducting regular meetings, workshops, and presentations to communicate project status, gather feedback, and address concerns. Testing and Quality Assurance: • Develop test plans, scenarios and cases, conduct various types of testing, documenting defects, and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the final product meets user expectations. Continuous Improvement and Innovation: • Proactively identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of digital products. • Contribute to strategies that drive digital transformation, improve customer experience, and participate in post-implementation reviews to evaluate solutions and identify areas for enhancement. Essential Skills & Experience Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. • Proven experience working as a Business Analyst in a technology-driven environment, preferably within the financial industry or stock exchange. • In-depth knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques. • Strong understanding of financial markets, trading systems, and investment products. • Proficient in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation. • Familiarity with UX/UI principles and design thinking. • Good familiarity and experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools. • Eagerness to learn. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. • Certification in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is preferred.
